The state rested its case this morning in the trial of Robert Anthony Fusco, 27, who is charged with four counts of especially aggravated kidnapping, two counts of aggravated kidnapping, two counts of aggravated robbery, one count of aggravated burglary and one count of attempted first-degree murder in the crime. Fusco is accused of entering the Trahern Lane home of John and Elke Gilreath and hiding as part of a plot to kidnap them and rob their business, Golden Eagle jewelry on Riverside Drive. Fusco said they abandoned the plan to rob Golden Eagle because it was on a busy city street, and if they chose to rob it at night the valuables would be in the safe since it used to be a bank. Young asked Fusco why he took two loaded guns into the Gilreaths’ home if he didn’t plan on shooting anyone or hurting anyone. Kaufman was transported to Coshocton Hospital by Coshocton County Emergency Medical Services. PIKE TOWNSHIP — At least one person was killed as a result of a rollover crash on Ohio 79 north of Licking Valley Road earlier this evening, according to the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office. Another person was transported by the Coshocton County EMS, Darrin Decker, chief of the Madison Township Fire Department in Licking County, said. According to the Ohio Highway Patrol, the crash occurred in Coshocton County, although it was near the Licking County line.
